Colonel Vykk Tharen stood looking out the viewport at the big Mon Cal Cruiser that they had stumbled across and figured he'd just as soon be lucky as anything else. "Are the Transports ready?"

"Aye, Sir. They'll be launching shortly and Crimson is ready to make their B-Wing run." Commander Shrela responded quickly. "The Katarns are a bit nervous that we've seen no attempt at a defense...."

"I'm sure that will change soon enough, but they'll still have to go. If that Cruiser jumps, we'll never get another chance at it." Vykk clasped his hands behind his back and took a deep breath. "Launch the attack."

CRS Valor - En Route
Into the Anshife System
16:53 Ship Time

The Admiral was still in the launch bay as the Valor had entered hyperspace almost as soon as the shuttle had touched down. Lt. Cre'shel had gone ahead to secure quarters and stow what little gear they'd brought with them. "What's our status?"

"We're looking good, Sir." Colonel Jan-lo Sunner responded after glancing down at the datapad that kept her updated on the Valor's systems. "Shields are up to 72% and should be above 90% when we arrive. If Colonel Tharen's assessment holds true, we'll be ready, Sir."

"Good. I'm getting very tired of jumping around the Outerrim. I think we are all ready to bid farewell to the Cadrel Expanse." Spokes stated plainly. "How's the Vengeance?"

Jan-lo sighed before saying, "She'll have to sit this one out, Sir. But, the repairs should only take a day or two." Jan-lo's comm pinged. "Yes?"

"Ten minutes before we return to real space, Colonel." Captain Gung informed her.

"Copy that, Captain. Sound Battle Stations as soon as you spot any Imperial craft."

"Will do."

"Looks like we're going to have to be ready." Spokes smiled as he stated the obvious. "The inspection will have to wait."

The PBF still needs an IO. Anyone who has the skills to keep our site up to date and/or would like to design a new one needs to contact me as well. We bid a fond farewell to BGN John GAdRS who has tallied 2,083 enemy kills, an impressive 2,212,185 points and an amazing 57 straight missions from PBF 1.01 through PBF 5.09. Nice work John and thanks for all you've done for the PBF!!!

Fireclaw 88% - Fireclaw also takes Top Squadron! Well done.
Red 80% - Red also places a solid 2nd Squadron. Nice work Red!
Gold 80% - Gold also makes a strong showing for 3rd Squadron.

FLEET REPORTS

Fleet reports were up from last month, but Squadron COs still need to get folks flying or clear the deadwood.

PBF 5.11 "Capture the Factory" has been posted and Flying Reports are due Sunday, September 5, 2004. Narratives are due Friday, September 10, 2004.
